The Mehans
Regarding the previous post, that's Timmy on the top, Chrissie on the bottom left and Adam on the right.
Tim's Great Aunt Mary (Chrissie's Aunt, Grandma Linda's Sister) is out here visiting for a few days. We always welcome her and have a great time. But I'm a little concerned right now. She, Chrissie and Linda took Tim over to the Wrentham Outlets. It's not the 90 minute drive that has me concerned. Nor the company he will be with. But it's a FULL DAY OF SHOPPING for him. I fear my son will never be the same! I already told Chrissie that I'm taking him for a ride on the lawn mower, grabbing a beer and watching some baseball to make up for it. Poor guy.
Here's a shot of Great Aunt Mary with Timmy snuggled up:

Getting into the Halloween Spirit, here's Grandpa Paul holding Tim who was absolutely entranced by the toy bat.

Wednesday 10/21: Who's who?
Can you figure out which picture is Chrissie, Adam and Timothy?

Saturday 10/18
We went up to ol' Springfield College today to enjoy Homecoming Weekend and the crisp Fall weather. Many great memories there and some great friendships: "H", "Stack", "Haley", "Guertin", "Freddy", "Cronin", "Richie" Can't believe it's been 13.5 years since we've graduated!
Here are some picture of our visit today:
In the stroller, with the shades, ready to explore the same campus that both Daddy ('95) and Grandpa Tom ('70) called home for four years:

Spirit, Mind and Body!

Blake Arena in the fall foliage.

Here is Judd Gymnasium: The first game of basketball was played there on December 21, 1891

Here is Daddy and Timmy in front of Babson Library where daddy spent each and every weekend night studying (just in case Timmy ever reads this entry when he is older.)

Now that I've finally ditched my parents, I'm going to pick up some college chicks with my cool shades!!

Wednesday 10/15: More pictures!
A couple great smile shots:

Ummm...tastes like Chicken!

Way too cute!

Hey babe, give me a call sometime :-)

Tim's first Holiday is coming up (We have never been huge Labor Day partiers and apparently Opening Day of the Big E isn't considered a Holiday.) So while we have been practicing up for Halloween already, we aren't going to divulge the costume of choice yet. But here is a little warm up for you to get you in the Halloween mood:

Last Thursday, Tim went for his two month Pediatric visit. Things went very well and the Doc said his neck issue is progressing "really well". As long as we keep doing his exercises he will have no long term problems at all. In fact, at this point if you aren't looking for it, you wouldn't even notice it.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures....

October 8th
Uh oh. We've been Tagged, Timmy. Those crazy Egans. Check it out here. Well, I'm sure she was talking to you, Timmy, so how about it...6 random things to share:
Timmy's 6 things (as translated by his dad):
1) I sometimes get bored having formula after formula for every single meal for every single day. Sometimes I close my eyes real tight and think of something really yummy like pizza and then the formula tastes just like...formula. Yuck.
2) Late at night, when no one is looking, I get out of the crib myself, walk over to the bathroom, grab a good magazine and take care of my own business. I'd do it more often, but hey, there's nothing like having someone else clean you so I'll milk this for as long as I can.
3) My parents really drive my nuts with all the stupid outfits they put me in. Wait to you see the ugly Orange Pumpkin one mom had me in yesterday for Halloween pictures. Ugh. Thank God, I've realized all I need to do is barf all over the bad ones to get them to change me into a new one.
4) Hey dad, just 17 years, 2 months until I start college. How's the stock market been treating your college savings plan for me?
5) I turned 2 months old today. That means in one month my age doubled. At this rate in 5 years, I'll be 108 years old.
6) Just sitting here trying to decide if I want to wake my mom up at 2:30AM for my next feeding or let her sleep until 3:30AM. Nah, I think I'll hit her at 1:00AM so I can get her again at 5:00AM.

October 2:
Yesterday Chrissie took Timmy to go visit our friends the LaChapelle's. Here Chrissie and Timmy hang out with Abby and Wyatt while Mommy Liz takes the picture. Assuming they both take after their dads, in about 5 years Wyatt and Timmy will be discussing whether Dustin Pedrioa will lead the Red Sox to another World Series (You bet, Timmy!) or whether David Wright will be leading the Mets to the Title (Sorry Wyatt, I don't think so. But it could be worse, at least you're not a Yankee fan!)

October 1st: Timmy has gotten pretty good at taking baths. In fact he really seems to enjoy them. Well, at least until he comes out of the nice warm water, the cold air hits him and then the screaming begins. Here are a couple picture of his latest aquatic adventure:

Of course, once he is all dry again and nice and warm, then he seems to forgive us and as you can see from below..."It's all good!"

September 30th: Everyone says when a newborn baby smiles, it is simply gas or a reflex. And we definitely witnessed those times. However, we are pretty sure he's recently snuck in a couple "real" smiles. Here's a picture Chrissie recently was luckily enough to catch--and by "lucky", I mean she stood hovering over him with the camera for approximately 38 straight hours.

Reminded me of one of my favorite songs: "Smile" It was originally recorded for Charlie Chaplin's final silent movie and later covered by many artists:
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile.
Here's one more of Chrissie's favorite son on top of his blankie and pillow...
